In 2018, Africmedia Galaxy partnered with the Ministry of Health, the Food and Drugs Authority, and the Ghana Standards Authority to organize an educational conference for bottled and sachet water manufacturing companies in Ghana, aiming to ensure healthy drinking water for the people of Ghana.
In 2019, we formed another partnership with the Traditional Medicine Practice Council (TMPC) under the Ministry of Health to help sensitize the herbal and alternative medicine industry.
Following this, we initiated an award program called the Traditional and Alternative Medicine Awards to create healthy competition among practitioners. We have been in partnership with the council for six years.
In 2020, we questioned the high maternal mortality rates, particularly why some women die during childbirth. Through research, we discovered that many women do not attend antenatal care in their first trimester, and some take medications in excess without adhering to prescriptions.
To address these issues, we partnered with the Greater Accra Regional Hospital to organize the Pregnancy and Baby Fair, where we educated participants on topics such as recognizing early signs of illness in infants, preparing for pregnancy, and proper care during pregnancy.
In 2021, we partnered with Women in Aviation Ghana to organize the Ghana Most Inspiring Women’s Award. This award recognizes women from remote areas who have worked hard to achieve significant positions in society. The program also fosters mentorship between these esteemed women and young girls.
We also organized an award program in partnership with the Health Facility Regulatory Authority (HeFRA) to acknowledge outstanding laboratory centers in Ghana through the Ghana Medical Diagnostic Award.
